Expert Callers Private Limited is a dynamic and customer-focused company specializing in providing professional call center and customer support solutions. With a strong emphasis on expertise and innovation, Expert Callers offers a range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of businesses across various industries.  The Company was facing challenging in managing their physical moveable and non-moveable for securing and tracking.  An comprehensive solution was needed to instantly get the asset inventory at different locations within the premises.  The companies Internal auditing team after couple of research, they decided to implement  integrated RFID and Barcode asset tagging with real-time movement tracking.

Here’s how it could work:

  1. RFID & Barcode Asset Tagging: Each moveable asset is assigned a unique RFID tag and barcode. These tags contain essential information about the asset such as its serial number, description, location, and any other pertinent details.
  2. Asset Database: A centralized database is created to store information about all the tagged assets. This database will be accessible to authorized personnel and can be updated in real-time.
  3. RFID Readers and Barcode Scanners: RFID readers and barcode scanners are strategically placed at key points within the Company’s premises, such as entry/exit points, storage areas, and loading docks.
  4. Real-Time Tracking System: The RFID readers and barcode scanners are connected to a real-time tracking system, which continuously monitors the movement of assets throughout the Company’s facilities.
  5. Asset Movement Alerts: Any movement of assets is immediately detected by the tracking system. If an asset moves outside of predefined boundaries or without proper authorization, alerts are triggered to notify designated personnel.
  6. Integration with Inventory Management System: The tracking system can be integrated with the Company’s inventory management software, allowing for seamless updates to inventory levels as assets are moved or utilized.
  7. Analytics and Reporting: The system provides analytical insights and generates reports on asset utilization, movement patterns, and any discrepancies, enabling the Company to make informed decisions about asset management and security.

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) fixed readers played a crucial role in tracking and managing asset movement within a facility. Here’s how that helped:

  1. Automated Tracking: RFID fixed readers were strategically placed at key points such as entryways, exits, and checkpoints within a facility. As assets equipped with RFID tags passes by these readers, they automatically captured and record relevant information about the assets, including their unique identifiers and current locations.
  2. Real-Time Visibility: By continuously scanning for RFID tags, fixed readers provides real-time visibility into the movement of assets throughout the facility. This allows businesses to monitor the location of assets at any given time, enabling quick and accurate decision-making.
  3. Efficiency and Accuracy: RFID fixed readers offered a high level of efficiency and accuracy compared to manual tracking methods. It quickly read multiple RFID tags simultaneously, reducing the time and effort required for asset tracking while minimizing the risk of errors associated with manual data entry.
  4. Improved Security: Fixed readers enhanced security by detecting unauthorized movements of assets. If an asset equipped with an RFID tag is moved without proper authorization, the fixed readers can trigger alerts, enabling prompt intervention to prevent theft or loss.
  5. Integration with Management Systems: RFID fixed readers seamlessly integrated with asset management software systems, enabling businesses to maintain centralized databases of asset information. This integration facilitates streamlined inventory management, asset tracking, and reporting processes.

By implementing this comprehensive solution, ECPL effectively secured their moveable assets, minimize the risk of loss or theft, optimize asset utilization, and ultimately improved their profitability.
